ART CONSERVATION INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Education is central to the mission of the Williamstown + Atlanta Art Conservation Centers. We train the next generation of conservators through paid internships at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels.

Intern opportunities include:

    • Pre-program internship: For individuals with an undergraduate degree who wish to study conservation at the graduate level, this program provides the necessary experience and hours required for graduate admission. Previous experience or academic background in the fine arts, art history, or the sciences is recommended. Those that are applying for a pre-program internship should list the departments they are interested in. The ability to work with different departments is available.

    • Third-year internship: For individuals who have completed two years of graduate study and require the third-year practicum of supervised experience to earn their degrees. The experience is tailored to the student’s chosen speciality.

    • Advanced internship: For individuals with a graduate degree seeking advanced experience in their specialty.

Internships are available in all of our departments and are tailored to both the individual’s interests and experience.
