American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC)
The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) is the national membership organization of conservation professionals. Its members include conservators, educators, scientists, students, archivists, art historians, and other conservation enthusiasts in over twenty countries around the world.
Canadian Conservation Institute
The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) is a Special Operating Agency within the Department of Canadian Heritage. The Institute was created in 1972 to promote the proper care and preservation of Canada’s moveable cultural heritage and to advance the practice, science, and technology of conservation.
Getty Conservation Institute
The Getty Conservation Institute works internationally to advance conservation practice in the visual arts—broadly interpreted to include objects, collections, architecture, and sites. The Institute serves the conservation community through scientific research, education and training, model field projects, and the dissemination of the results of both its own work and the work of others in the field.
Formerly the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property, HP is a nationwide advocate for preservation of public and private collections.

The International Council of Museums was founded in 1946 and is an international organisation of museums and museum professionals which is committed to the research, conservation, continuation and communication to society of the world’s natural and cultural heritage, present and future, tangible and intangible.
International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works
International organization for the conservation of cultural heritage, founded in 1950. The institute produces an annual publication Reviews in Conservation.
National Trust for Historic Preservation
Membership organization dedicated to saving historic places and revitalizing communities.
Western Association for Art Conservation
WAAC is a nonprofit membership organization for professional conservators, founded in 1975 to bring together conservators in the western United States to exchange ideas, information and news. Although WAAC is specifically a regional organization for the western states including Alaska and Hawaii, any individual or institution may become a member regardless of location or national boundary.
