Education

A principle aspect of WACC’s mission is its work as an educational resource and training ground for the conservation profession. WACC offers programs for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate education, as well as fellowships, apprentice training in art conservation and professional workshops.  Contact us for more information.

Interns and apprentices

The Williamstown Art Conservation Center offers a number of paid internships and apprentice opportunities for students at various levels of education and experience. Contact WACC for more information and to apply.

Pre-program internship: For individuals with an undergraduate degree who wish to study conservation at the graduate level, this program provides the necessary experience and hours required for graduate admission.

Third-year internship: For individuals who have completed two years of graduate study and require the third-year practicum of supervised experience to earn their degrees.

Advanced internship: For individuals with a graduate degree seeking advanced experience in their specialty.

Apprenticeship: Supervised practical training in art conservation, in lieu of graduate study.
